Dower House is hidden away on a private lane. In an elevated position on Cliff End overlooking the sea with panoramic views of the surrounding area at Pett Level. The house was originally built in the nineteen thirties in an arts and crafts style as a summer residence.  It has been comfortably upgraded and furnished as a spacious home for the owners and family bur retaining the old fittings.- Such as oak mullioned windows,  toggle light switches, cast iron radiators, oak latched doors, oak floors and cupboards. Most of the rooms have a sea view.

It has terraced gardens of an acre with numerous spots to sit and relax. Or if feeling energetic play games such as badminton or ping pong. In the evenings we usually hear the sounds of birds, sheep and the sea. 

Ground Floor:
Sitting Room with leaded windows with deep, wide oak window ledges with cushions forming  seating overlooking the garden towards the sea, a stone fireplace and hearth with working fire, large sofa, antique leather armchair with extending foot stool and wooden armchairs, plus an ornate Indian chest  and occasional tables
TV Room/Study with leaded windows giving views across the garden furnished with a 2 seater sofa, armchair, well stocked book case and flat screen TV/DVD. Various board games in the cupboard.
Dining Room with leaded windows, dining table and chairs for 8, working fireplace, oak cabinet, open shelves holding crockery and glasses and a glass fronted bookcase. Arts and crafts wooden rocking chair by the folding doors which open onto covered paved terrace and garden with views straight to the sea 
Kitchen with range style electric oven with gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, larder fridge, freezer and central oak unit creating a breakfast bar with stools. Rural views towards Chick Hill.

Bedroom 3 has an antique mahogony double sleigh bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers. Views of the sea and the Grand Military canal. Moroccan rug.  Adjacent to this bedroom is

Garden: Large lawned garden surrounding the house partly terraced with some steep drops - small children should be supervised. There is a badminton court, table tennis, picnic table and bench, an additional wooden table with 8 chairs with cushions. Usually a hammock swinging between some apple trees.. Steps at the end of the garden lead down to a gate which after a 30 ft walk along the road  lead to a footpath to the beach. Fresh vegetables in season from raised beds and our greenhouse.

Parking: Ample parking on 2 separate  parking areas. One next to the front door. The other below the house with a separate entrance. 

Terrace: Barbeque. Charcoal provided.

Heating:  Gas central heating and two working fires. Logs provided.

Nearby is a farm shop, an organic  butcher  a variety of fresh fish shops and two pubs. The nearest supermarket and newsagent is a small Co-op in Winchelsea Beach about a mile away.
